Category discounts, customer based pricing, customer type discount

I already have customer-based pricing set up on my products. If I set up customer-based pricing at the category level, how will the discount be applied?
Response:
The category discount will be applied to the customer's price after his/her discount is applied at the product level. If a product is $100 by default, but you have a customer based price set to $90, the category discount will apply to the $90.
