We have our product detail page in Detail Style set to tabbed. The selected tab has a background color, however, the unselected tab(s) has no background color and so the white font of the tab can't be seen clearly. How can we change the background color of the unselected tabs?

In Nexternal.NET, the banner colors are used by default for the tab colors on the product detail screen. If your banners are the set to be the same color as your body background, that situation can arise. You can override the inactive tab colors using the css addendum in Layout/Edit Advanced layout. The following syntax would make the inactive tabs red as an example:
